Dr. Whitney works with children, adolescents, and young adults and their families, and in systems in which problems with self-regulation, relational development, cognitive dysfunction, self-concept, and information processing difficulties are evident. He is the founder and currently the Clinical Director for ICACD, with staff privileges at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center (Boise and Meridian facilities). In addition, he is adjunct faculty at University of Idaho in the Counseling and Human Services graduate program. He consults with hospitals, residential facilities, and school districts throughout the Intermountain region. Dr. Whitney is active in research related to the clinical application of telemedicine, autism spectrum disorders, and systems of care that render out of home placement to children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Whitney is a full member of INSAR (International Society of Autism Research).
