About the Speaker
Daniel Openden, Ph.D., BCBA-D is Vice President & Clinical Services Director for the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) and Faculty Associate at the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education at Arizona State University. He received his doctorate in special education, disability, and risk studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Openden has worked extensively with Autism Spectrum Disorders on federal- and state-funded research projects, provided consulting for school districts nationally, presented at regional, state, & national conventions; and has been published in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters in the field. Dr. Openden received the CalABA Julie Vargas Award for original research, and he is Associate Editor for the Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions.
