Clinical centers can now offer a new remote autism assessment service. With NODA, clinicians observe behaviors captured by the family at home through a secure platform. NODA was developed by Behavior Imaging Solutions
Autism prevalence is increasing. It rose 15% to 1 in 59 in 2018. Demand for autism care is 18x higher than the supply of caregivers. Even though experts agree that early intervention is critical for future outcomes, many families still face long wait-times prior to diagnosis. Families need faster, more convenient autism assessments, so that they can access the resources that they need to thrive.
Ron and Sharon Oberleitner founded Behavior Imaging Solutions in 2005 to develop technology as a means of increasing disabled people’s access to care via technology.
NODA was commercially developed through a $2.7 Million dollar NIH-funded series of research studies that proved that observation at home is an effective autism assessment method.
A recent NIH-funded research study showed that the NODA method cuts the average total time to obtain an autism assessment in half compared to the in-person method.
Once clinicians determine that a family is a good candidate for NODA, there are four easy steps:
Twenty years ago, our family faced a challenge that many families still face today. Long wait times at diagnostic clinics led to us going almost two years before confirming our son Robby’s autism diagnosis. The NODA method would have been invaluable to help us get an earlier start on Robby’s treatment.
NODA is an evidence-based Autism diagnostic service platform that has been brought to market to address some of the challenges with early diagnosis. Current challenges include the lack of access to professionals, long waiting periods, earlier detection, clinical appointment scheduling and costs. NODA has been commercially developed through a $2.7 Million dollar NIMH-funded series of research studies that included Georgia Tech, Behavior Imaging and the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center.
NODA is market proven for patients and providers. We are implementing more pilot programs. If you are interested in a presentation or call to learn more just email us here: noda@54.162.200.67

Our implementation with PCH included 3 pieces:
See the PCH newsletter announcing and explaining the partnership. Organizations must communicate the importance, value, and details of implementing NODA to the doctors and professionals who interface with patients and work with Autism every day.
See PCH’s page on their autism program. Next PCH added NODA as one of the tools they use with patients. Patients can now learn about the NODA option and use it in their relationship with PCH.
See our signup page with a special tab for PCH patients in Arizona. Finally, we add a special gateway for partners so that doctors, specialists, and caregivers all have the proper level of access to the technology.
