DSM-5 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Diagnosis

The everyday scenarios NODA captures are those that most easily demonstrate the kinds of behaviors diagnosticians look for when assessing a child for the social, communication and repetitive behaviors that define an autism diagnosis, according to the DSM-5, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

BACKED BY RESEARCH

NODA is accurate and easy to use.

National Institute of Health (NIMH) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants funded multiple clinical studies which demonstrate that the NODA diagnostic protocol is an effective assessment service for diagnosing autism. Behavior Imaging collaborated with The Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC), Georgia Institute of Technology and researchers from other organizations to compare NODA to other widely accepted autism and autism spectrum diagnostic procedures. Doctor and Parent with autistic child

NODA employs user-friendly data capture methods and trusted licensed clinicians specially trained to detect and diagnose autism.

  • NODA can support clinical and diagnostic centers in more effectively triaging families on wait lists, knowing that time is of the essence for autism spectrum disorder interventions and treatments.
  • NODA connects families in remote locations with clinical experts. Children from rural or remote areas can now be evaluated by a group of highly trained autism experts, without undertaking long and expensive journeys to reach them.
  • The diagnostic report issued by NODA clinicians provides a detailed assessment of a child’s behaviors that his or her health care team can use to determine the immediate next steps in that child’s care.
